On your first visit you are asked once. Accept and Reject are the same size, the same weight, the same typeface and on the same level — because under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations they have to be, and because a refusal that is harder to click than an acceptance is not a choice.
What is set before you choose
Only what is strictly necessary to deliver the service you asked for. These are exempt from the consent requirement and are set whatever you choose:
| Name | Purpose | Type | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
| wc_session | Keeps you signed in between pages | First-party cookie | When you sign out, or 30 days |
| wc_csrf | Protects forms against cross-site request forgery | First-party cookie | End of session |
| whichcable.cookie-choice | Remembers the choice you made here, so you are not asked again | Local storage | Until you clear it |
What is set only if you accept
Measurement of how the site is used — which pages are read, where people stop reading, whether the where-to-look cards get printed. It is aggregated, and it is not used for advertising.
| Name | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|
| wc_measure | Counts page views and section reach, without identifying you | 14 months |
What is never set
- Advertising cookies of any kind.
- Third-party tracking pixels, social plugins and share buttons.
- Cross-site profiling, fingerprinting, or anything sold on to a data broker.
Changing your mind
Clear this site’s storage in your browser and the question is asked again on your next visit. You can also tell us at support@charlycomtex.shop and we will deal with it. Refusing has no effect on anything the service does for you.
