Customer service
Whichcable is operated as an online service. There is no counter to visit and no appointment to make. Everything is handled by email or telephone, and the address above is a registered office rather than a service address.
- Email: support@charlycomtex.shop — the fastest route, answered within one working day.
- Telephone: +44 7926475377 — Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00 UK time.
- Written enquiries may be sent to the registered office above, marked for the attention of customer service. Post is slower than email by a considerable margin.
What this business does
Whichcable is a subscription software service. It takes a written description of the two ends of a cable, narrows that cable to a shape family, sets out the places on the cable where a further distinction may be recorded, and states plainly which distinctions cannot be established by looking at all.
It does not sell cables or any other physical goods, holds no stock, and ships nothing. It maintains no database of cable models. It makes no specification or compatibility claim of any kind, gives no figure for power, current, voltage, speed, resolution or refresh, names no brand or model, makes no judgement about whether any cable is safe to use, gives no guidance on cutting, opening, joining or repairing anything, and explains no jurisdiction’s rules on disposing of electrical waste.
Regulatory position
The company is not authorised or regulated by any sector regulator in respect of this service, and no such authorisation is required for it. It is not a certification body, a testing house or a standards organisation, and nothing it produces is a certificate, a test result or a conformity assessment.
For consumers in the United Kingdom, the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 apply to this service, and nothing published anywhere on this site limits them. Details are set out in the terms and the cancellation and refunds notice.
Complaints
Complaints go to support@charlycomtex.shop and are acknowledged within one working day and answered within ten. If the answer does not satisfy you, say so in reply and it will be looked at again by someone who was not involved the first time.
This business does not participate in any alternative dispute resolution scheme. There is no general obligation on a UK business to name one, and naming a scheme this business is not a member of would be worse than saying nothing. Your right to take a dispute to the courts of England and Wales is unaffected, as is your right to seek advice from Citizens Advice or from your local Trading Standards service.
